Boys & Girls Club of Austin 4th Annual Duck Race Fund Raiser

September 6, 2017

We just finished our video for the Boys and Girls Club of Austin 4th annual duck race fund raiser.  They have been raising money and awareness each year with this event.  And each year they grow the number of ducks, then amount of money raised and the number of folks who come out to watch and participate.

We proudly provide our services for free to them to be able to capture the event.  This year we added additional dimensions to the video by capturing more of the story.  We were able to go to their facility and video the volunteers tirelessly washing and stickering all 17,000 ducks by hand.  Each duck has to have the sticker removed from previous events, washed, dried and then restickered for this event.  Needless to say, that's a lot of work.  Without the volunteers coming in to help in the process, they wouldn't have been able to meet the timelines to get the ducks ready for the race.

Each duck can be adopted for $5.00.  This money goes to help fund the Clubs and Outreach programs.  This year they were able to raise $190,000 to help the more than 12,000 kids they impact each year.

Overlook Film Studios, LLC with help from Brokengrill Productions and FRIXTX Outdoor Media provided all the filming and editing at zero cost to Boys & Girls Club Austin as part of our belief in supporting our local non-profit organizations and being able to give back to the community.
