Overlook Film Studios, LLC Launches new Service Offering - Golf Course Aerial Imaging Service

July 12, 2017

Today Overlook Film Studios, LLC announces new partnership as an authorized service provider of Turf.Solutions a revolutionary new golf course management solution that leverages aerial imagery with state-of-the-art analytics and computer analysis to help golf course superintendents more efficiently manage their courses.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are revolutionizing the turf industry, introducing golf course superintendents to never before seen course data and actionable analysis. Through the use of UAVs, users can identify areas of plant stress that can not be seen with the naked eye, in addition to browning or yellowing of turf. Aerial imagery also provides insight into water distribution patterns, identifying specific areas where water applications can be reduced while maintaining healthy turf, aesthetics, and improving playability.

TurfSolutions, is a technology company that uses UAV's, mobile tools, image analysis, and the Internet of things to bring together a comprehensive software solution. Partnering with Overlook Film Studios, LLC and TurfSolutions will give you access to software to manage, implement, and plan for UAV flights, image analysis, and task management.

It's one thing to see where the problem areas are but then what?  With our solution both superintendents and their staff are able to work directly in the program, whether they are at their desk or out on the course, to assign and complete tasks that were identified from the imagery and analysis screens.

For example, a superintendent could be evaluating the latest imagery results and when they find problem areas they can draw directly on the images and assign tasks to his crew so they can address these issues immediately or during scheduled maintenance of that area.  This helps to streamline workflow and help ensure that you are putting the right resource in the right place at the right time.
